Self Portraits
I have found great solace and comfort in turning a camera upon myself. The act of photographing myself has allowed me
to document moments of deep sadness, frustration, and mental unrest. Through this action, my emotions can transcend the physical space where they reside painfully within me and exist simply as images. I have also used this liminal photographic space as an opportunity to experiment with different personalities and personas, again providing an opportunity to briefly escape myself.
